Local software and media company, Alchemystudios, creates a mobile tool to enhance the upcoming film festival.
Shreveport, LA, September 27, 2012: Alchemystudios, a Louisiana based media boutique, has developed a mobile app focused on improving the user experience of the upcoming Louisiana Film Prize Festival. The app is designed to serve as a guide to out of town visitors and local participants alike. It provides a multitude of useful content including walking maps, film descriptions, trailers, judge’s bios, event schedules, ticket purchasing, and more.
Gregory Kallenberg, executive director of the Louisiana Film Prize Foundation and local film director, stated, “This festival is all about showcasing the best and brightest of the film and entertainment industry, and this mobile app is great example of our efforts at work because the local whiz kids John Grindley and Stuart Clason created an amazing tool that provides festival goers with an electronic gathering point for all things Film Prize.”
“The team at Alchemystudios is to be commended for a job well done and we are pleased to note that they are located right here in Shrevport-Bossier. We expect more great things to come from this new and innovative company, “ stated Arlena Acree, Director of Film, Media, and Entertainment for the City of Shreveport.
The app is available for download now from Apple’s App Store, and all attendees and filmgoers are encouraged to download the free app and enjoy the full immersive digital experience of the Louisiana Film Prize Festival in the palm of their hands.
Stuart Clason, cofounder of Alchemystudios, stated, “John Grindley and I are very pleased with the final version of the film festival app; including our design team at Donnie Bell Design really pushed hard to get this over the finish line. We believe this app displays the production capabilities of our company, and we hope the end users will benefit from the functionality.”
