Director’s Bio: Director, writer, and actor, McGhee Monteith was born and raised along the Blues Highway in Northern Mississippi. It’s no surprise that her soulful and intensely felt work as an artist, echoes the deeply human experiences and inspirations of her of her Southern home and roots. Acting credits include Walk the Line, Butterfly Rising, and Love Meet Hope. McGhee is also a series regular in ABCd’s Viola Davis Produced America Koko which she will begin shooting in the fall of 2016. In addition to writing her own material, she works frequently as a writer for hire, and recently completed the feature film Ollie Stop. McGhee splits her time between Los Angeles and Mississippi.
