It’s a Grindhouse

Oh, hello! Hi. How ya doing? Is that a new shirt? It looks good on you.

Yes, that’s right this is the first ever blog post for the Louisiana Film Prize. Being such a hectic time and all, I have finally taken the time to sit down and begin this blog.

Now, what should I talk about? Do they know about the $50,000? Of course they do, I mean who wouldn’t right? Oh, I know! Did you see our video? No? Of course you haven’t! Because it’s right here ->

Now, here is the cool part. We know grindhouse stuff is awesome, it was fun, but did you know it was created by no other than the OSCAR WINNING MOONBOT STUDIOS? What!? OMGz! With Gorilla Design Studio and Moonbot, we were able to make a kickin’ promo! I love that logo.

On a related/not related note, we have had our fair share of registrations come our way. That means that these wonderful contestants are one step closer to winning $50k. But you already knew that, “would he shut up about registering! I know I haven’t done it yet and I’m being lazy.” I just think it’s so great and wonderful that that people are truly taking up on this offer. It’s just…. we are so excited to see such great people come to the Shreveport-Bossier area and support with creativity in film. It fills our hearts with joy! Hearts? Joy? Cazes, you are so cheesy.

One of the things we want for S.B. is for it to prosper. I know I have said it a bunch, but it’s true! With great stuff that is coming from places like Moonbot, it reminds me how much the community here is so wonderful. S.B. becomes a better place to be every single day. I’m so very proud to be a part of this community and a part of the Louisiana Film Prize.

Well I think that’s enough for my first blog post. I can’t wait to see all the film submissions, it’s going to be so much fun. In the meantime, please check our Facebook and Twitter for updates and the like. We always are posting and responding!
